Public Enemy Announced For Golden Plains

Public Enemy
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Golden Plains will return to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre in 2014, and Public Enemy have been announced as the first act on the bill.

The hip hop icons — and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees — are one of the most important groups of the last 30 years, famed both for their revolutionary production and Chuck D's incendiary, heavily politicised lyrics. (And if you don't love Flava Flav, you don't love life.)

The cousin of the Meredith Music Festival, Golden Plains is pretty much the perfect festival — it's BYO, surrounded by beautiful views, has no commercial sponsors, and all the action happens on one stage, so you never miss anything. Oh, and the "No Dickheads" rule is much appreciated.

The Golden Plains ticket ballot opens today, with further line-up details to be announced later this month. Golden Plains runs from March 8-10
