A new music festival offering the sounds of reggae, R&B and Afrobeat, Promiseland Festival will take over Gold Coast's Doug JHennings Park (1-2 October) headlined by global superstar Burna Boy (in his first visit to Australia).
The 'Ye' and 'On The Low' rapper will be joined by fellow headliners reggae legends UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and US rapper-activist Wyclef Jean (The Fugees) in his first visit to Australia in 14 years.Originally announced for 2021 till COVID scuttled those plans, Promiseland's 2022 line-up features more than 40 artists and bands including Sons Of Zion, William Singe, Youngn Lipz, Sammy J, Common Kings, HP Boyz, Ladi6, Muroki, Paua, and Scribe.
"Promiseland brings together different yet beautifully interconnected cultures from around the world for one memorable music experience," Festival Director, Emal Naim says.
"We envision this new festival to build a foundation and bring together a community of fans that isn't recognised enough in the live music landscape."
Adds Sons Of Zion: "Ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you there GC!"
