Indie alt-rock artist Tobias Wonderdog is embracing the emergence of NFTs with his latest project, the four-part song and video series 'Death Of Intimate Listening'.
Spread across four songs – 'Strike' (a cosmic blues-rock rap collab with rising Perth dance creator / MC Ian De Mello); 'Skeleton Key' (haunting blues-rock song featuring Nkechi Anele); 'Blood' (tribute to Julian Assange that touches on the value of freedom, time, and equality); and 'Player' (smokey Americana tune featuring South African-born indie pop artist Hayley Mengel) – the 'Death Of Intimate Listening' series will be available in 100 NFT bundles (25 per song release) thanks to OFM Ocean Floor Music. The first track to be released from the series is 'Strike', which was recorded by Damien Young at Pony Music Melbourne and Jarrad Wheildon at John Butler Studio in WA.
A meandering country-blues-rock melody opens 'Strike' as Tobias' laidback vocals sing about personal growth birthed from overcoming past mistakes.
A primal rap from MC Ian De Mello aka MDMC bursts forth in the second half of the song, igniting a blazin' alt rock soundscape as well as visceral feelings of self-worth.
The song's music video offers a Mad Max meets the Warriors landscape with a barbaric, savage depiction of a fight to the death between two combatants.

The video was captured by West Australian creator Emile M Smith and will be featured at Melbourne's Oshi Digital Art Gallery as part of the Ocean Floor Music launch showcasing their first 25 artist releases.

"It's a real honour to have Emile M Smith onboard with Doomity Records and so many amazing feature artists."
