Central Coast indie rockers The Sea Gypsies have recently released a new song, 'Stronger'.
Today, scenestr is excited to premiere the song's accompanying video clip that features a shipwrecked soul who does a better job at surviving than Tom Hanks in 'Cast Away'.
"When the boys approached me with the track we started throwing around a few ideas, one image that came to me straight away was a man floating stranded out at sea with nothing but miles and miles of open water," the video clip's director James Medlam says.
"To me, the song is all about accepting what life throws at you and embracing what you have. Not letting things get you down and coming out stronger at the other side.
"When we were searching for our survivor, Ricky really brought a lot to the table. On the day he was convincing a lot of on lookers. His performance was subtle and real, most shots in the clip are one-take wonders because once the camera was rolling he was in character.
"It was one, massive day filming in the sand and sun and excited for you all to see it."
The Sea Gypsies, who are currently working on debut album with producer Jack Nigro (Sarah Blasko, Ian Moss, DZ Deathrays), will be touring in April.
