Brisbane band The English Rain continue to release impressive indie-guitar pop with their latest single, 'She's A Rainbow', another dose of jangly guitar and sing-along joy.
Co-founded by Steve Boom and Neil Steward, the band have released two singles so far, 'Before The Dark' and 'My Town'; their debut album 'Echoes Of You' is due later in the year. 'She's A Rainbow' features the added vocals of Alister Bell of Speedstar."The goal has always been to try to write songs with strong melodies and hooks and we love jangly guitar driven pop songs," the band says about 'She's A Rainbow'.
The band have filmed a DIY video clip for the song, which scenestr is stoked to premiere today. Enjoy.
"Being such a happy and uplifting song," Steve says, "the first image that came to mind for this second video was a gorgeous indie girl riding a vintage bike on a lovely sunny day.
"Tammy, who appears in the video, was a perfect fit and this kept a visual consistency as she appears on both the single and album cover.
"Again, we went with a DIY approach and filmed the video around Ascot, Brisbane, on a lovely Sunday morning and the beautiful winter weather provided a perfect backdrop.
"It's a happy song to raise the spirits during these trying times and encapsulates the joy of the simple things in life."
The band launch ‘She’s A Rainbow’ with a live show at King Lear Throne (Brisbane) 27 August.
