Premiere: Watch Rene Le Feuvre's New Single 'Euphoria'

Rene Le Feuvre is a Gold Coast-based pop-folk artist.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A song that encapsulates his love for his best mates, Rene Le Feuvre's newest single is titled 'Euphoria'.

The emerging folk-pop artist originally from North Queensland and now based on the Gold Coast (where he moved to when he was 17 to pursue an AFL career with the Gold Coast Suns before finding his 'true passion' – music),

'Euphoria' is a breezy, care-free song that celebrates all the best parts of hanging with your closest, truest friends.

"It's my favourite song to date because it reminds me of so many memories with my friends," Rene says.

"Moving out of a small country town in North Queensland to the Gold Coast so young was difficult and it took me a while to find good friends. "I kinda didn't fit in anywhere, but I remember the exact moment of realisation I had found my people, and that feeling was 'Euphoria'."

Warm, fuzzy, goosebump-inducing feelings abound throughout the track that are enhanced by the memories of homemade videos of Rene and his mates that feature in the song's music video, which scenestr is stoked to premiere today. Enjoy.

"It's so simple but defining," continues Rene, discussing the genesis of 'Euphoria'. "I was driving next to my mate with the windows down listening to 'Dancing In The Moonlight' by Toploader, which I actually mention in the second verse.

"It was just after I had my car stolen and my friend had lent me her car; I had this overwhelming realisation of just how amazing my friends were and wanted to document it in a song so I could come back to it.

"I struggled with the bridge, so I ask my housemate Joshua Bell (electronic-pop artist Saint Barae) to help me and we finished the song together.

"I then produced the song with Gold Coast producer Jared Adlam. We also recorded a stripped-back version as well which will come out after the main track."
