From self-taught guitarist to a fully-fledged artist creating waves locally and nationally in just a short few years, Gold Coast-based René Le Feuvre returns with his first new music of 2023.
Funk-drenched folk-pop drizzled in sexiness that hints at Bieber, Harry Styles aesthetics, 'Ghost' – which was co-written with Hein Cooper, who also co-produced the song – is a sonically fun, upbeat number about 'the chase' – courting the person you have love-heart eyes for."Super excited to share with you my first release of 2023! This one's called 'Ghost', it's the first single off my debut album coming out later this year," René says.
"'Ghost' is a spooky and fun take of the courting period of relationships or what we call 'the chase'.
"Tying into the theme of connection, the song represents a more playful and surface level approach to the relationship before developing into a very deep – and very vulnerable and authentic part of the project."
Ahead of the song's release tomorrow (22 February), scenestr is thrilled to premiere the 'Ghost' music video today. Enjoy.
With silky smooth production the song features playful hooks with a harmonic minor undertone, and nestles perfectly in the forefront of the young pop singer-songwriter's album titled 'Telepathy', which is set to be released later this year.
