New Zealand hip hop outfit Raw Collective have released a new single titled 'Pictures' that puts the spotlight on mental health.
And today, scenestr is proud to premiere the song's video clip that also features MC Dharmarat.
"We filmed this video on a beautiful day, on the south coast of our home city, Wellington, NZ," group member Raw Deezy says.
"We wanted to capture the mood of the song, a soul warming, contemplative track to cruise to. Expressing some truths about mental well-being, a reminder to keep good company and fill our lives with the happiest, most memorable pictures."
The single is the second release off Raw Collective's album 'For The Ancients', with their first release 'Waterproof Coat' garnering love from blogs and tastemakers worldwide.
'Raw Collective takes inspiration from many genres and influences and distils it into an honest, original raucous energy that speaks to all generations and walks of life through music that sings to the soul, causes the head to nod and encourages the feet to move in rhythmic fashion.'
"We wanted to write a track dedicated to anyone else who is suffering from any form of mental illness," adds Raw Deezy.
"A song that would inspire people with similar experiences, a reminder that you’re not suffering alone and to let others know that this exists and it affects more people than we think."
