The Perth native is ready to unleash with his latest song, the cathartic banger 'Luminescent Thrillseeker'. "It's a hard hitting, cloud-rap banger about my personal struggles dealing with insomnia and overcoming depression," Parys X says."The song was written in the late hours of the night and I remember initially coming up with a haunting synth loop and just sitting in the dark surrounded only by the blue light of my computer screen. I was deliriously tired but unable to switch my mind off.
"As I sat slouched in my chair I just kept hearing the words 'I can't sleep' in a melancholic and whimsical drone.
"'Luminescent Thrillseeker' is not just a song about my insomnia, but it is also a song about chasing a dream and a constantly racing mind always thinking about the future; at times to an almost insane and maddening degree."

"The video is based entirely around the concept of creating a visual representation of the feeling of going into a state of psychosis or madness in the late hours of the night; with each element representing a particular aspect of the song," adds Parys X.
"The filthy bathtub represents a desire to cleanse myself of incessant and at times twisted thoughts.
"The flashing lights came about from Demelza Wheatcroft, my collaborative partner on the video, wanting to portray the polar opposite 'luminescence' that we all hold within ourselves and the ability to free ourselves of our pain and internal chatter.
"The blood covered face and writing in the mirror being spurred on by the line: 'I slit my wrists up for my art, my blood gushing on your carpet' really expresses what it can feel like sometimes trying to capture and let go of certain emotions."
