Sydney-born songstress Rhiannon Atkinson-Howatt relocated her dreamy synth-pop alter ego Merpire south to Melbourne last year.
Now there to stay, Merpire is making a bit of a buzz around town with the release of her latest offering ‘Hauntways’.
Recently added to Spotify’s New Music Friday Australia/New Zealand playlist as well as being featured on rotation at fashion giant H&M, she has given scenestr the green light to premiere the 'Hauntways' video ahead of launch shows in Melbourne and Sydney this week.
"Since moving to Melbourne, I've been lucky enough to not only make some incredible friends, but I have the pleasure of witnessing and being involved in their talents as well!" exudes Merpire.
"So I got together with these great friends at my house and had wine and cheese while we filmed this song. We finished the night off right and watched 'A Bug's Life' on the projector from my bed."
