A founding member of Aussie punks Captives, in late 2020 Marcus Wynwood stepped out on his own to focus on his solo work.
In late 2021, the D'Addario endorsed artist released his first solo single, the blazin' hard rock of 'Something In My Eye'.Now Wynwood returns with a track that showcases his tender and passionate side in the form of 'Little Space'.
It's an aching, raw vocal that quickly simmers alongside a rollicking acoustic guitar riff that barrels along, Marcus singing about finding your happy place even when things seem to be crumbling around you.
Then there's that hard-hitting guitar solo that explodes across the senses, Wynwood's intricate shredding releasing an overload of emotive feels to raise the horns and rebel.
"The message I wanted to get across with this song is that no matter what's going on in your life or how dark it gets, there is always a place for you," Marcus says.
"There's a little space where you belong."
Ahead of the release of 'Little Space' tomorrow (13 April), scenestr is thrilled to premiere the song's accompanying music music video today. Enjoy.
Created by Moon Cheese Studio in Devonport, the clip follows an animated Marcus as he battles with the trials and tribulations of everyday life within the confines of his own head.
"I've always wanted to have an animated clip, and the message of belonging in this song suited it perfectly," adds Marcus.
"The viewer goes inside my head and sees what's happening in my mind."
