British-born Byron Bay local Lucy Gallant is back with another electronic-soul-pop gem with her new song titled 'Sunshine'.
Set to be released tomorrow (25 January), Lucy has given scenestr exclusive access to premiere the 'Sunshine' video today. The song was written at a "bush party out in the hills of Byron Bay".
The 'Sunshine' music video, which was filmed and directed by Robert Reed Altman (son of the legendary, Academy Honorary Award winning director Robert Altman), features the bohemian virtuoso as a sun goddess who manifests a mini version of herself.
The young girl is sent on a mission to give sunflowers to those who are depressed and lonely. "The video was filmed in LA and Joshua Tree, US by a good friend Robert Reed Altman. This is the third video we have made together," Lucy says.
"His beautiful, young daughter Cora starred in the video. She played mini me. I sent her off to the city with sunflowers to hand out to the sad people to brighten up their lives.
"A lot of it was real not acting, of people we came across in the streets. They really were so happy after the little cutie gave them a flower."
Proclaimed by Byron Bay Bluesfest owner and director Peter Noble as "it is only a matter of time before she is a household name", Lucy has a number of local shows upcoming.
