Melbourne's aural cosmonaut Louise Terra presents another taste of her debut EP ('Follow The Moon Into The Ocean' out 8 May) with the release of a music video for her single 'J.B'.
The multidisciplinary artist, producer and performer – who has performed for seven years in local outfit Sugar Fed Leopards – has teamed up with fellow Melburnian, filmmaker Cheryl Siecker, who has captured the essence of Terra's shimmering new single, conjuring the cosmic and elemental spirit of the track's namesake Jeannie Brown."I invited Jeannie and a group of my closest friends to go away camping for a weekend, just outside of Castlemaine, at a campsite rumoured to be an old witches hang-out," Louise says.
"This seemed like the perfect setting, as I had written a loose script starring Jeannie as a supernatural entity and a small group of friends as a bunch of cosmic hillbilly's conjuring her spirit."
scenestr is wrapped to premiere the music clip for 'J.B.' today. Enjoy.
"We could have fire there too, which was important to the narrative and the elemental pulse of the song," adds Louise.
"Because the song is all about friendship, the clip needed to also capture a fun and playful energy so the weekend was set-up as a kind of 'art-camp'.
"We spent the daytime creating, experimenting and filming, and then at night we got to sit around the fire and chat until we retired to our tents.
"It was a lot of fun to make and Cheryl really captured that special, intimate joy we all shared in filming the clip."
