If you visit King Social's website, the band will tell you they 'resemble the stragglers at the shittiest ever UN Convention: an ocker cowboy, a Greek hippie, a rapping Scottish/ Aboriginal, a Fijian with an infectious smile, and when his beard is in full-force a Ned Kelly look-alike'.
Together they create a sound best described as 'city meets country' – an edgy blend that has quickly amassed a cult following.
The band have recently filmed a video for their newest single, 'Hypocrite', which we are premiering today.
Penned by King Social’s resident hip hop artist Stevie Mitchell, 'Hypocrite' is a personal, hard-hitting track.
Mitchell says: “'Hypocrite' is very much a personal reflection about the role alcohol has played in my own life. I didn’t write it to send a message or tell anyone how to act – I did this for me, as a way to vent and take ownership of my own actions.”
The band host Kings Christmas at The Ross Island Hotel (Townsville) 19 December.
