Eskimo Joe's Kav Temperley recently released his debut solo album, 'All Your Devotion'.
Ahead of a solo Australian tour that begins in Adelaide this Thursday (11 October), Kav has released a music video for one of the featured songs off 'All Your Devotion', 'Pollyanna', that scenestr is pumped to premiere today.
"The video is meant to represent a beautiful nightmare and the journey we all have to walk in the world," Kav says.
"It's about feeling like a stranger but having to move forward with intent no matter what life throws at us.
"Myself and the director Peter Gurbiel workshopped the idea together, keeping in mind Michele Gondry's work on 'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind'."
Part of the filming of the video involved Kav becoming mates with a horse, as he explains. "One memorable moment was when they brought in a horse to be in one of the scenes. His name was Bluey, he is a police horse and one of the biggest I've ever seen.
"When they brought Bluey on set, he was a little unsure at first. But when he realised he was just going to be standing there while I sung to him he relaxed and kept coming in for a little nuzzle… it was beautiful."
Ahead of the national run of shows, Kav is eager is to share stories from 'All Your Devotion'. "This tour will be the most stripped back and raw I've ever been without actually being naked on stage. Come along and hear the stories behind the songs and tell me yours too."
