Australian folk-rock singer-songwriter, Kaurna Cronin's newest release, 'Our Way', was a track he wrote after a request from a German couple to write a song for their space-themed wedding.
A globally-recognised performer who was awarded Artist Of The Year at last year's Australian Folk Music Awards as well as being a previous recipient of APRA-AMCOS's Emily Burrows Award, Kaurna has brought his storytelling prowess to 'Our Way' melding the sense of love and connection to galactic themes.Add tranquil guitar melodies across a bedrock of powerful folk-rock instrumentation that includes stunning string arrangements and percussion, not to mention the sweet flourishes of harmonica that waft above the grandeur of Cronin's energetic and piercing vocals.
"I was inspired by that fluttering sense of euphoria and sublime invincibility which comes hand in hand with new love and new connection, and its ability to move us to new heights," Cronin says.
"The song is dramatically dynamic, portraying a full spectrum of emotions that combines a weighted sense of belonging, depth and connection, whilst also providing a contrast with orchestrated moments of weightlessness, as an invitation into the sublime or to soar above all else."

"It was so much fun creating this track with such a specific thematic direction and evolving it with the band," adds Kaurna. "A spaced-themed love song for a German marriage. . . just didn't expect that.
"As a song about connection and both platonic and romantic love – given the past years, the disruption and chaos and all that's happening now – it feels good to be putting out a song of comfort and unity."
Ahead of a couple of local SA shows, Kaurna will return to Europe (where he has performed 500-plus times) for June-July tour that visits Germany, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania and Denmark.
