Sydney songwriter Jamie Hutchings has recently returned with a new album of solo work in the form of 'Bedsit'.
'December Park' is the first single lifted from the new record. The simple, yet brooding clip features Jamie walking across a host of different, Sydney locations.
“'December Park' is a rumination on Sydney weather in December, its empty Christmas holidays night-time streets and the wash of memories they trigger,” Jamie says.
About the video, he adds: “'December Park' features me walking a lot, it's set in a Sydney where everyone is on holidays except the bats.
"It was made by my good friend Hadassa Haack who had noted that walking was something I'd taken to as a means of problem solving. These treks can be a means of finding yourself, but sometimes you hit the realisation that that part of yourself is forever missing and so... you have to learn to go on trudging without it."
'Bedsit' is available now.
