South Coast four-piece GOSH have just released their new EP 'Frankenstein', and scenestr is proud to exclusively bring you the video for its lead single 'Take Me Home'.
The video is a live cut of an acoustic version.
Captured in Wollongong, it peels back the layers of not only the track but also the band, giving everything a much more vulnerable vibe and bringing fans into GOSH's live environment.
"'Take Me Home' existed for a long time as purely an acoustic track, and over time morphed and shifted shape into something completely different, that I don’t think any of us imagined happening when we first started jamming it as a band," GOSH manager, Lachlan Jones says.
"We kind of felt like doing an acoustic rendition of the song was a nice tribute to the original incarnation, and was a cool way for us to come full circle with this one that we’ve had for as long as we have. . . Give it a proper send off into the world, ya know?"
"A lot of the sentiment for this track is in the lyrics, which became even more apparent in the acoustic version, cause there’s less to focus on. . . And we were really aware of it too.
"There’s a bit of heart pouring in here, and the mood in the room was really nicely captured. We’re beyond stoked with how this one came out!. . . Sorry in advance if we cause a few tears!"
