Charming, delightful yet fragile indie pop welcomes Galleri's latest single 'I'm Good', the acoustic-led number overflowing with warmth as it navigates frontman John Moore's own reflections of decisions made (for better or worse).
The Mid NSW Coast band booked out the Community Hall in Pacific Palms to record 'I'm Good', which features on their recently released second LP 'Easy'.Raw and searing, yet hope radiates from this unvarnished, acoustic-driven song, its heartfelt, reflective lyrics challenging the listener's own choices.
A bluesy riff two-thirds through is complemented by flute and a few "ooohhhs, ooohhhs", the acoustic guitar slowly strumming its way to the song's beautiful ending.
"I wrote this song as a reflection on trying to make sense of life and where our decisions take us," John says.
"We all make a heap of mistakes through life, trying to make sense of it all and pushing to be a better person."
scenestr is thrilled to premiere the music video for 'I'm Good', which was filmed at the same time they recorded the song.
"We had hired out the old Pacific Palms Community Hall and had live tracked a session of higher energy songs with producer Zach Miller," John says.
"Coming down after these bigger songs, we decided to track a raw version of 'I'm Good'. We were really happy with the acoustics and the rawness that the old hall gave.
"Our good mate and very talented film producer Glen Leahy from Digital Video Lab was there to catch the session and work his magic [for the music video]."
