Premiere: Watch Figurehead's New Video '106'

Figurehead
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Despite only two out of four members of Figurehead being old enough to legally buy a drink in Australia, the Fremantle band have already achieved triple j airplay as well as two nominations for WAM Song of the Year in the 16-17-age category.

The group's latest single, '106', the third from a forthcoming second EP titled 'All Worth While', is a eulogy of sorts to the now defunct Perth bus service.

"Filming and playing on an actual bus was a unique experience," the group's lead singer and guitarist Matt Murphy says, "and although hot and sweaty it made for a fun day.

"The 106 holds a special place in our hearts and hopefully the song and this video can help spread the message of the tragic loss of our beloved friend."

'106' was produced by Matt Geo (Abbe May, Birds of Tokyo, San Cisco).

Figurehead play The Odd Fellow (Fremantle) 31 March before launching the 'All Worth While' EP at YMCA HQ (Perth) 6 April. The launch show is all ages.
