Electrik Lemonade are seven individuals united by the cosmic-collective boogie.
Playing rump-funkin' live shows that feature a repertoire of original, energetic-funk and hip hop tunes, infused with blues, soul and electronic elements, Electrik Lemonade have filmed a clip for their newest track, 'Run And Hide'.
Shot on Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, the clip follows the journey of the character in the song who is jumped on the street, fights back and accidentally kills the attacker. He hears the voice of his conscience and progressively falls more and more into a state of panic and regret.
"We got the film clip smashed out in three takes, we didn't really have a choice though," enthuses the Gold Coast band. "Barney Trub (MC) had come down with a chest infection the day before and was completely bedridden. It was a massive effort just getting him to the shoot, let alone him performing as well as he did.
"We were pretty sure that we would have to call it off but after a couple of cans of V Barney pulled through, his illness probably helped with the vibe in the end. He spent the next day in hospital on a drip!"
Electrik Lemonade will perform at the Valley Fiesta Queensland Music Awards Showcase on 25 October.
