Australian pop-rock singer-songwriter, Bradley McCaw's newest release, 'Crazy', is another serving of his feel good, ol' school rock & roll music that hearts nostalgia from yesteryear.
Smooth, jazzy, lounge tones highlight the '60-'70s retro vibes that percolate throughout, with husky yet honeyed vocals adding a warmth that charms as McCaw coos about blossoming romance.Add a lush string section, gorgeous horns and stunning backing vocals all recorded at Studios 301, the track was produced by legendary guitarist/ producer Louis Shelton (who has performed on or produced with the likes of Jackson 5, Lionel Ritchie, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand) and features bass Legend Nathan East (Fourplay, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, and Daft Punk).
"It's a love song. No doubt about it. But the song has a sense of nostalgia to it. The gorgeous string arrangement by Louie, builds a musical world you can hopefully feel surrounding you as you listen," Bradley says.
Released last month, scenestr is stoked to premiere the 'Crazy' music video today. Enjoy.
The music video looks to capture some of that old-school spirit, enlisting the roller skating skills of Australian performer/ digital creator Peachy Skaterr.
In the video, her world is transformed when she discovers a mysterious vintage cassette player and a set of headphones.
"We all have a song we love, that when we listen, we close our eyes and it takes us into another world," shares Bradley. "It eases our worried mind. . . That sentiment and feeling is at the very core of the music I make.
"I remember hearing a Billy Joel quote that went something like 'go and make the music you wish was on the radio. If you can't find what you love, go and make it.' And that was the moment I decided to make old school, feel-good music."
