Premiere: Watch Bradley McCaw & Paulini's New Music Video 'Someone Like You'

Bradley McCaw and Paulini have collaborated on 'Someone Like You'.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Award-winning singer-songwriter, Bradley McCaw's latest release 'Someone Like You' strolls down a country-rock path where he invites R&B-pop artist Paulini into the studio for a stunning duet that brings all the upbeat, loving feels.

"Duets bring together two different voices to make something special," Bradley says. "They have a different energy, two artists in top form from different genres, and that makes a song take off into unexpected places.

"Think of Kenny and Dolly. Elton and Kiki. Sonny and Cher. These combinations are like sweet and sour! Together they create something. . . unlike anything else really."

Add to the mix a superstar backing band of truly legendary session players and 'Someone Like You' follows McCaw's 2021 singles 'Worried Minds', 'You Ain't Fooling Anyone' and 'So Glad' – its sonic warmth enveloping all the senses.

Ahead of the song's release tomorrow, scenestr is stoked to premiere the music video for 'Someone Like You' today. Enjoy.

"Paulini and I recorded the vocals opposite each other. Two microphones were set up in the one room, and we just sung it. That is what you see in the official video. The entire recording process," adds Bradley.

"We wanted to share that live energy. In fact, the entire ending sequence where we are echoing each other, going back and forth on the 'Someone Like You' riff, that was all improvised and us riding the music wave.

"Let's not forget the song also features Louie Shelton on guitar (Jackson 5, Lionel Ritchie, Boz Scaggs, John Lennon and more), Nathan East on bass (2000-plus albums, Daft Punk, Phil Collins) and an incredible band."

The remainder of 2022 will see Bradley continuing to release new music in the lead-up to his debut record release. "I'm excited to release brand new music every month this year, leading into my debut album in late 2022.

"It's exciting to see people listening and writing to me from all over the world, sharing how much they are enjoying the old-school vibe! And that really means a lot to me personally.

"Hopefully in 2023 we will be able to get out on tour and share this music with them live."
