Premiere: Watch All Regards New Music Video 'Wonder'

All Regards are a pop-punk band from Melbourne.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A pop-punk, alternative grunge band from Melbourne, All Regards made their debut in 2020 with the single 'Trainwreck' that was followed last year with the song 'Where Were You'.

2022 has seen the trio focussed on their live show, playing a stack of local gigs, building their core fan base while intriguing plenty of new listeners with their supports for the likes of Reside, Waxflower, Loose End, Drastic Park and Bad Juju.

Now they're ready for their next chapter with new single 'Wonder'.

A pumping, bullish alt-emo melody that packs plenty of punk-rock attitude with rollicking instrumentation (the Blink-182 and Rise Against influences are strong) and a chorus that begs for a rousing crowd sing-along, 'Wonder' is an anthem for those fascinated about existentialism.

With lyrics that pose at times overwhelming questions about one's role in the bigger picture of life (why I am here etc.) and side-stepping the often daily grind of keeping on top of your mental well-being, 'Wonder' isn't just a flashy pop-punk, guilt-free ride.

Ahead of its release tomorrow (4 November), scenestr is amped to premiere the music video for 'Wonder' today. Enjoy.

Produced by Darcy Handley (Terra, Future Static) and mastered by Christopher Vernon (Belle Haven, Better Half), 'Wonder' came to life after bassist Mark Fuhrmann confided in his band mates – vocalist/ guitarist Jeremy Allen and drummer Ali O'Sullivan – the mental struggles he was facing on the daily.

"Lyrically, the song follows the struggles of the last couple years, where we've found ourselves asking those big questions: Why am I here? What's my purpose? Do those closest to me still care about me?" Allen says.

"Within this last year, I have unfortunately had someone close to me lose their battle with mental health which has put everything within my life into perspective.

"From that experience, I learned that life can be quite tiring and draining, but I shouldn't let my mental health get in the way of living my life to its absolute fullest and that to me is the overriding message of the song."

That message is echoed via the creative direction of the 'Wonder' music video.

Directed by John Stokes (Drastic Park, Paperweight), the clip takes literal inspiration from the lyrics of the song, emulating the feeling of not wanting to get up and deal with life while at the same time wondering if people still even want you around.

All Regards will launch 'Wonder' with a live show at The Tote Upstairs (Melbourne) 26 November with support from Ultravlt and Silk Village.
