Ahead of the release of his debut album 'Lay The Stones' later this month, Hobart's emerging singer-songwriter Zac Henderson gifts his latest single 'Drawing Blood'.
With a distinctly nasally, yet polished ocker voice, Zac serenades his audience with lyrics about lost opportunity married to indie folk, alt country stylings; it's a little like Paul Kelly having a jig with Dope Lemon."'Drawing Blood' is a song of self-reflection, dealing with the uncertainty that surrounds losing someone close to you and moving forward," Zac says.
"It's a slow musical build filled with rich, emotive sounds of swooping slide guitar and melodies, driving drums and encapsulating mood."
scenestr is stoked to premiere 'Drawing Blood' today. Enjoy.
Since his debut EP 'Procrastination' in 2017, Henderson has supported the likes of Neil Finn and Dan Sultan while also touring the UK. 'Lay The Stones' is scheduled for release 22 January.
