Tiny Castle are an emerging indie rock band from Brisbane who draw inspiration from the likes of The National, Tom Petty and The War On Drugs.
After they made their band debut last year, Tiny Castle are now ready to launch their newest single, 'World', with a home-town show in August.
With the track officially released tomorrow (27 July), Tiny Castle have shared with scenestr an exclusive stream of 'World' for you to play today… winning days.
Lyrically, 'World' focuses on the theme of chasing the illusory dream, while seemingly drifting further and further away from whatever that may be. "This often leads to frustration where excuses are made as to why something might not be turning out the way we thought," the group's bassist Will Rowles says.
"The track's message is essentially around forgetting about wishing the world would change or perceived enemies, and rather focusing on tangible aspects, like our immediate surroundings that are more often than not a source of happiness."
"A major influence on 'World' was The War On Drugs' album 'Lost In A Dream', aspects such as repetitive drum and baselines, and mid-'80s rock with synthesizers," adds singer-guitarist James Walker.
"Artists like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and INXS were also on the mind when the song was constructed, which is often the case for most of Tiny Castle's work."
