Sydney funk maestros, Thunder Fox are gearing up to introduce their debut album 'Love At First Sniff', which has been "carefully crafted just for you" according to the band.
First taste of the album is the sultry sax-iness and funk-drenched single 'Been Busy', a groove-laden number that is set to get feet churning and hips swaying.
"In our fast-paced, modernity-obsessed society, it has become apparent that some cornerstones of humanity, such as love, can alter on their surface yet remain unshaken at their core," Thunder Fox's lead singer, guitarist Sam Dawes says.
"'Love At First Sniff' (and 'Been Busy' from it) is an elegy to and an observation of human connection and love in a world shaped by excess."
The album was recorded at A Sharp Recording Studio in Sydney, and saw Thunder Fox work with Daniel Willington (ILUKA, Battlesnake) and Steve Smart (Northeast Party House, City Calm Down) on mastering.
"The canon of 'Love At First Sniff' spans from its oldest track, written almost two years ago, to its youngest, which was written just two weeks prior to entering the studio," the band says.
"The record muses on subject matter with a discernible sense of growth and progression while stretching across a canyon of mixed emotions."
After a busy 2018 of global touring including expanding their audience into Netherlands, France, Italy, and Switzerland through to Spain, Germany and the UK, Thunder Fox will spend a large chunk of the remainder of 2019 on the road with an east-coast tour.
'Love At First Sniff' is due for release 31 October.
