Today, Central Coast band The Sea Gypsies have released their debut album 'Movements'.

The fusion of alternative rock and reggae, the band have shared an exclusive stream of 'Movements' with scenestr.

The band have shared a few words about a number of the songs that feature on 'Movements'.

'Lost And Found'

"'Lost And Found' is a musical roller coaster at your favourite theme park. Whether you're attracted to its adrenaline-fuelled guitar riffs or sensual groove, this 'summer-vibe' tune is guaranteed to satisfy every desire a listener could have. Acting as the peak of the attraction, the lyric empowers each person with an authentic message about finding one's purpose in life."

'Demons'

"Released in 2017 as a single to 'Movements', 'Demons' is a much-loved track by The Sea Gypsies. The first track written by the current band formation, 'Demons' gave their fans a taste of what was to come. Ambient guitar lines contrasted by Luke Marlin's gravelly vocal tones lures the listener to dwell on Marlin's message.

"Facing one's demons and coming out stronger afterwards is a familiar notion, but The Sea Gypsies breathe welcome life into it with their atmospheric sound."

'Best I Can'

"'Best I Can' stirs a welcome sense of familiarity to the listener and invites them into the personal life of vocalist Luke Marlin. Dedicated to his partner and future child, Marlin colourfully weaves the story of his budding family.

"Musically, 'Best I Can' is gentle, yet raw with emotion, wonderfully casting the audience as a passive participant in Marlin's life. The echo of the drums, saturated by the warm guitar line evokes a sense of contemplation to the listener. 'Best I Can' makes you feel at home in the life of The Sea Gypsies."

'Cinderella'

Edgy and full of attitude, 'Cinderella' is the perfect break-up song dedicated to your narcissistic ex. Picture that person in your mind and The Sea Gypsies are ready to take them down a peg with you. Listeners are transported to a moodier side of The Sea Gypsies through their experimentation with new instruments and tones reflecting the dark, animalistic nature of the song.

"Topped off with the middle-finger equivalent of a guitar solo, 'Cinderella' will have you feeling triumphant in your bad experiences with love."

The band have also announced a 12-date tour, which includes a launch show at The Entrance Leagues Club, Bateau Bay (Central Coast) 17 November.
