Melbourne trap-gospel-R&B quartet, The Mamas newest release 'Riding On The Bus' comes at your direct with a blunt message for anyone who can't keep their hands or eyes to themselves on public transport. You've been warned fellas.
Opening with the angelic vocal refrain of "riding on the bus" that's backed by an electro handclap and an imposing trap beat, The Mamas launch into a rap that leaves little to the imagination for anyone with 'gross' intentions to harass fellow travellers: "Lesson one. . . don't be a dog-c..t." Simples, really.Known for their comedic tones and using humour to tackle social messaging, 'Riding On The Bus' flirts between imposing, attitude-laced hip hop and soulful '50s-styled vocal harmonies that create a soundscape that's equally funny, sexy, and fearsome.
"A hard-hitting trap song with a cheeky manner," begins Sugar Mama, "expressing the real anger that people who have experienced harassment in public feel, something all too many of us have experienced.
"We're taking back the power with 'Riding On The Bus' for anyone who has ever felt unsafe in a public space."

"'Riding On The Bus' is based on personal experience," adds Saucy Mama. "Every woman I know has a story about being harassed, intimidated, inappropriately touched, or being made to feel uncomfortable on public transport.
"I remember being 18, and not even being able to wait at the bus stop near my house without it devolving into an absolute sh.tshow. The song is a warning. It's also a shoutout to anyone who's ever experienced the same thing."
