Brisbane sludge-pop group The Bear Hunt are set to release their new EP, ‘Fallen On Deaf Ears’, next week (13 October).
But the band, who are influenced by the likes of PJ Harvey, The Drones, Soundgarden and Dinosaur JR can't wait that long to share their new baby, with aunty scenestr allowed to showcase the entire EP for your streaming pleasure. Winning days.
Teaming up with producer Bryce Moorhead (Violent Soho) at The Shed Studios in Brisbane, The Bear Hunt are excited to unleash their raw, energetic sound on the world once more.
Of the lead single, ‘Name And Shame’, singer Bec Wilson says: "Lloyd and I wrote this song awhile back when a bunch of grown adults we knew were carrying on like a group of school children, bitching about other people behind their backs.
"If you have a problem, find a way to deal with it. Don’t whinge and spread rumours. Front up and fight your own battles, don’t do it for your mate who is carrying on like a spoiled brat. We wanted to write a full blown punk song but still with essence of Bear Hunt."
