A sparkling yet poignant melody that bursts with explosions of indie pop joy which mask lyrics that paint a melancholic portrait of our current world, Taylor Pfeiffer's newest single is 'Everything's In The Air'.
It's a beautifully constructed ballad co-written by Taylor and Adelaide producer Julian Opie, in the midst of 2020 when COVID was beginning to change the world."So many of us have been affected, so this song was written with the strong feeling of not knowing what will happen next," Taylor says.
"The feeling of not knowing what is next, and whether anything will ever be the same, which so many people felt and still feel, is what encompasses this melancholic song."
Ahead of the song's release tomorrow, scenestr is proud to premiere 'Everything's In The Air' today. Enjoy.
"I would go to Julian's house, he is a multi-instrumentalist and producer, and I would come to him with song lyrics or melodies, which I loved but I felt like I couldn't progress with these ideas on my own," Taylor says.
"We made a great team with writing this song, and we have also written some more which I am very excited to also share soon."
Although it's been a tough time for a lot of people, Taylor remains positive. "So many industries have been affected by COVID. I haven't been able to travel much for gigs, but I'm so grateful that I am still able to write music and record."
