The dream-pop, chillwave side project of Dappled Cities singer-songwriter Tim Derricourt, Swimwear returns with the second single from his forthcoming debut LP 'Night Air'.

'Funny Bones' is a companion piece to Swimwear's earlier 2020 single 'Happyness' (the lead track of 'Night Air').

For fans of Washed Out, Caribou, Mountains In The Sky, and the like, Swimwear's brand of cinematic bedroom pop will leave you feeling blissfully joyous.

"Loosely based on Richard Yates' 1960's novel 'Revolutionary Road', 'Funny Bones' captures the lovers' first moments together – alone, in the corner of the room, everyone has disappeared and everything lies in each other," Tim says.

"The first laugh, his hand on her wrist, her hand on his shoulder. Moving to the corner of the room, and it's as if they're the only two people left in the world."

With 'Funny Bones' released tomorrow (29 October), scenestr is stoked to premiere Swimwear's newest single today. Enjoy.

The release of 'Funny Bones' is accompanied by a b-side track, 'Funny Bones (Part II)', as Tim explains.

"'Funny Bones (Part II)' leaps forward in the story. They moved to the suburbs, settled (or buried?) and the dream has become reality.

"They've turned the woods to lawn, and painted every wall, and it seems they're doing alright. But life – her life – has stopped. The walls are moving in and the lawn is as cut and dry as her world."

Swimwear's 'Night Air' album drops 3 December. Pre-order it.
