Perth pop artist, Stefanie Passione's newest release, 'Falling For You', is an open letter declaring feelings for a crush.
Stefanie has released a number of pop-oriented R&B singles and EDM dance-floor tracks since releasing her debut song, 'Just For One Night', in 2018.With a style fans of Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa will embrace, 'Falling For You' is Stefanie's first new music since 2023 singles 'Miss You' and 'Replaceable'.
Seductive, sumptuous electro-pop drizzled with a polished, elegant production that merges into a trip-hop, contemporary R&B soundscape, Stefanie's delicately alluring vocals communicate those sensual, earnest feelings that arise when new love begins blooming.
The song's subtle groove also echoes the magnetic pull of burgeoning romance, the push-pull cravings of new horizons and associated butterflies reflected by the meandering bass. "This song is an open letter to the person that you’re crushing on," declares Stefanie.
Ahead of the song's release tomorrow (11 October), scenestr is stoked to premiere 'Falling For You' today. Enjoy.
"The first verse explores the different sensations that are heightened when you start falling for someone," adds Stefanie. "The second verse is about being hesitant about this new wave of emotion because you've been hurt by previous relationships.
"The chorus is essentially about giving into your feelings and admitting that you are falling in love and that you should embrace it."
Stefanie also leans into feelings of vulnerability and distrust associated with past relationships that haven't ended well. "I think this song will resonate with a lot of people.
"Entering a new relationship can be scary, but when you push away the fear and hesitation, it can flourish into something truly wonderful.
"Sometimes the best thing you can do is tune out all the noise and self doubt, trust your gut and enjoy the process. Amazing things happen when you get out of your comfort zone and take a risk."
