Artist, music entrepreneur and owner of singing school Music Roof – with branches in Brisbane and Melbourne – Siki Daha is a creative hub fostering philanthropic deeds alongside his own artistry.
Born in Pakistan, raised between Australia and Dubai, Daha spent his 20s touring, with residencies and travels through Europe and Asia, as well as releasing albums and collaborating with other artists.
His 30s saw Siki pivot somewhat to his philanthropic efforts, opening Music Roof, first in Brisbane before expanding into Melbourne. The school's outlook is to provide young artists and budding singers the chance to flourish with the tools he acquired over the years being an independent artist.
Siki's first taste of new music in 2025 is 'FWB feat. Sartika & KMAY'. A sensual, squelchy beat pops with a vivid funk rhythm laced with a R&B, neo-soul flavour that intertwines itself in your senses, providing snappy yet arousing vibes that are intoxicating.
A mix of singing and rapping with Siki joined by Brisbane-based independent artists Sartika and KMAY, who provide a sultry accompaniment to Daha's enticing vocals, 'FWB' is both flirtatious as well as empowering.
The song's conclusion saunters along sexily, allowing a breather as the dopamine infusion settles, the feel-good feels overflowing.
"The song was originally a conversation and something I wanted to talk more about in my music," Siki shares. "Sex positive views about an FWB (friends with benefits) is important I feel."
Ahead of the song's release tomorrow (5 September), today scenestr is excited to premiere 'FWB'. Enjoy.
"A lot of people talk about love or relationships, but not enough about the in-between of those two things, a no-strings attached or a situationship," adds Siki. "I was lucky enough to have my two friends alongside with me telling their experiences too, so it's been an awesome ride!
"The song was produced by a Brisbane-based producer Blake Hardy and written by me, Sartika and KMAY. The influence I had behind this was actually the Nelly Furtado song 'Say It Right' production and sound wise but with my own twist!"
An artist who declares mermaids are his spiritual animal – "Can I say mermaid! They are real right 🤭!" – Siki also shares the best piece of advice he's ever received.
"Never follow the crowd or they may lead you to places you don't want to go. Natalie Cole taught me that when I was 15 in a letter to me! Crazzzzy times!"
