Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Pearl The Girl aka Pearl Herbert, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Sydney, is back with another catchy love/ loath song, 'Mr Informative' - the follow-up track to her earlier 2018 release, 'I Hate You'.

After years working as an actress, Pearl has used her experience of tapping into emotional banks for characters as a way to harvest genuine depth and brutally honest feelings for her music.

So eloquent is her ability to express the fundamental concepts of love, breakups, independence/ loneliness it is easy to feel as though she has plucked the thoughts from your own mind and entwined them into her own melody.

"Lyrically, 'Mr Informative' is the song you fantasise screaming in the face of your ex-lover, the best friend that let you down, your boss or authoritative figures in your life that appear to revel in your mistakes."

Ahead of the song's release Monday (10 December) and live launch in Sydney next Thursday (13 December), scenestr is amped to share an exclusive stream of 'Mr Informative' today. Enjoy.

"The song draws its inspiration from people forcefully endeavouring to be correct, which invariably makes everyone else wrong. This undermines any and every one of their relationships leaving them wondering why they are lonely," Pearl adds.

"This song is about those lonely people who will forever push away the people they love without ever knowing it."

Pearl The Girl launches 'Mr Informative' at Oxford Art Factory (Sydney) 13 December.
