North Arm
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

The brainchild of former Firekites member, Roderick Smith, Sydney's North Arm today deliver their debut album, a collaboration with Australian indie-producer wunderkind J. Walker aka Machine Translations.

After the recruitment of Sean Roche, Evan Clulow, Jay Sullivan and James Law to flesh-out North Arms, Roderick approached J. Walker and soon a a collaboration developed with one of Rod's songwriting idols.

The band have slipped scenestr the Soundcloud stream of 'Afternoon Sky' – a lush wall of sound that reverberates with hazy guitar lines, droning vocals and and an overwhelming sense to groove. North Arms sit somewhere between Death In Vegas and Doves. This album will soundtrack your summer.
