Melbourne-Brisbane psych-rock duo Milk Buttons are back with a new single, 'Some Impressions', which will loop around your earlobes like a stomping earworm on its way to a party.
It's like they've taken a swig from the same cup of herbal tea as Supergrass and a 'poppier' The Dandy Warhols to create a swirling mass of 'relaxed' psych rock and indie pop that bursts with colour. It's groovier than Sesame Street's Bert. Honest.
"'Some Impression' is one of those songs I wrote where the narrative initially seemed like a string of nonsense, but on later reflection turned out to mean something very tangible," singer Cameron Bower says.
"The lyrics describe a kind of existential nightmare fuelled by alcohol, drugs and regret - it's a real party number, a real feel-good hit for the summer."
scenestr is thrilled to be able to share an exclusive stream of 'Some Impression' ahead of its commercial release on Friday (2 November).
