Premiere: Stream Lost Goat Found's New Single 'Cold Feet'

Lost Goat Found are an indie rock band from Brisbane.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A band who played together for ten years as neighbours before finally getting onstage as a group for the first time (in late 2018), Brisbane melodic rockers Lost Goat Found are back with another stellar offering, 'Cold Feet'.

After flirting with rock-pop melodies and upbeat grooves on previous single 'Hooped Earrings', 'Cold Feet' is a return to indie rock territory that echoes Augie March and The Temper Trap, its rich instrumentation and anthemic vocals making it a perfect sing-along.

"Though sonically 'Cold Feet' is a return to the rock anthem sound, it is also one of our most personal and intimate tracks," the band says.

"It explores the usual hit list of emotions one sometimes feels near the end of a relationship: fear of commitment, guilt, loneliness and longing.

"It's about getting 'cold feet' and breaking up with someone because you're a little immature, or scared, or not ready for this kind of relationship; and then seeing the pain the other person is going through and how you can't apologise enough."

Next up for the four-piece is a return to the stage; after selling out their two previous headline shows last year, Lost Goat Found will be let out of the pen when they play their first show of 2021 at Black Bear Lodge (Brisbane) on 15 May.

"This is definitely the most relaxed we have ever been when recording," the band adds, "partly because we have a little more experience now but mainly because of the environment Riley creates."
