With a relentless three years of touring globally, country-rock duo Little Georgia are nearing the release (2 November) of their first studio album.
And with a slew of east-coast live dates planned throughout November, collaborators Justin Carter and Ashleigh Mannix give a taste of the forthcoming record with 'Stoned'.
"'Stoned' is a celebration of the good things in life, a chance to loose yourself and step away from the chaos and selfishness of the modern world," the duo says.
"Although the song touches on some of the darker realities of living in the 21st Century, it's an anthem to keep a positive mind in these troubling times."
Recorded with celebrated American producer, now based in Byron Bay, Nick DiDia (Powderfinger, Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young), 'Stoned' is a breezy little number that bounces along at a chilled pace.
Ahead of the song's commercial release tomorrow (19 October), Little Georgia have shared an exclusive stream of 'Stoned' with scenestr to premiere today. Winning days.
"'Stoned' was originally written on a mandolin at Justin's farm in south-west Victoria. When it came to recording the song we worked with producer Nick DiDia at his studio in Byron Bay."
Nick also lent his hand in playing some keys, percussion and bass on the album, which is rounded out with the line-up of Oscar Henfrey (drums) and Jimmy Staayer (bass guitar).
