Premiere: Stream JayCee's The Iconic

JayCee
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

Independent, Brisbane-based lyric-smith and producer, JayCee, has been working profusely since March to release his debut album, ‘Identity Thieves’ (6 September).

Today, you can stream 'The Iconic' – the first single lifted from 'Identity Thieves' which features JayCee's melodically-spat Aussie cheek aligned to spacious, minimalistic sounds and the mischievous Naomi Rigby on vocals – right here:

"This song came together in the space of about five minutes, lyrics and all, but I feel like it took me 25 years to write. I’ve played music my whole life but this was the first time I felt that I was really making music." - JayCee (Josh Cranstoun)

JayCee will be surfacing to launch 'Identity Thieves' at The Zoo 5 September with support from fellow locals Mantist and Blaq Carrie.
