Premiere: Stream High Tropics New Single 'Better Days'

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.
High Tropics’ brand of anthemic lo-fi rock is the brainchild of South African-born singer-songwriter Josh Stewart.

Birthed by the fuzz-filled glory years that were the 2000s, High Tropics combine lo-fi indie-rock production techniques with charm and methodical arrangements reminiscent of archetypal singer/songwriters.

Their newest single is 'Better Days'; think a mash of The Growlers psych groove and the aching-rock of The Vines. "Thanks to scenestr for premiering our new single 'Better Days'," Josh Stewart says.

"We're stoked to put some more music out. I recorded the bulk of this song in my bedroom before finishing it off with my pal Elliot [Heinrich of Pop Cult]. It's in a similar vein to our last song '15 years', so if you dug that, hopefully you'll enjoy this as well."

'Better Days' is released 18 September.
