The continuous struggle of balancing work commitments with lifestyle treats is a universal one.
Brisbane-based guitar slinger and soul singer Graham Moes has found himself in that same struggle from time to time, capturing this inner conflict in his band’s (The Petrichor) new single ‘Heartwork’. "On a more personal level, this song represents becoming more ok with vulnerability," Graham declares about 'Heartwork'.
"The whole song is a big 'I don't know' rather than a 'this is what I know' sort of narrative. The whole writing process involved a lot more asking the advice of friends and musicians around me and being open to changes. It's a reflection of my learning to surrender a little more to the unknown."
Graham Moes & The Petrichor are part big-band funk, part indie-rock and together with a three-piece horn section deliver nothing short of a soul-party on stage.
