A young folk-rock songwriter with an accomplished voice that demands your attention, Fletcher Pilon's lyrics have an innate ability to delve deep into your conscious awakening thoughts (some long forgotten); give his songs only a few spins and they'll feel like they've been part of your own playlist forever.
In particular is the lead track of his new EP 'Thoughts'; 'Paperback' is a ripper that at once sounds like a classic Aussie indie tune, the next you can envisage this track propelling the former 'Australia's Got Talent' 2016 winner (at the age of 14) to international stages. He's that good.
After time spent in Nashville and Los Angeles honing his songwriting craft post his 'Australia's Got Talent' win when he signed with Sony, the independent release of the 'Thoughts' EP tomorrow (5 April) signals Fletcher's next chapter.
"This release is a culmination of my personal and musical journey of the last few years," he says.
"Since 'Australia's Got Talent', I've taken some time to find the music I want to play and the words I want to speak.
