Gold Coast musician-producer Erin Foster is about to take the wraps of her newest single, 'Lovely'.
A spacious, twinkling keyboard-loop intro that's drizzled in '80s new romantic-styled electro leads into angular, super-polished pop that bounces with a clubbing electronic beat as Erin sings about escaping into a dream of newfound love."The past year or so has been very tough for me and for all musicians, and really for all people in the industry," shares Erin.
"It is an ugly industry at the best of times and is hard enough to get the attention of the media, radio and promoters.
"But having shows cancelled and being in lockdown for most of last year has really slowed everything down.
"'Lovely' is really about a dream – a dream of being in a different place and at a different time."
Ahead of the single's release tomorrow (11 February), scenestr is thrilled to premiere 'Lovely' today. Enjoy.
"I'm really optimistic for 2022 and 'Lovely' is unashamedly an optimistic track," adds Erin.
"Fingers crossed things become more normal (or at least we have a new-normal). That's why I'm writing upbeat songs now and have a run of shows in place – I can't wait for the new-normal and I need it!"
