Emerging Sydney artist East Denistone is back with another finely crafted slice of alt. country, indie pop, 'First Light Of The Morning Sun', that sparkles with a lyrical intensity akin to Bright Eyes and First Aid Kit.
Self-produced, 'First Light Of The Morning Sun' continues East Denistone's collection of songs which focus on introspection, probing into the self doubt and discontentment that underpins his loftier dreams of grandeur and inner peace.
"I had to take a step back and realise my own limitations – the kind of music I was looking to produce and perform at the time [after the release of ‘River’] just wasn't appropriate," East Denistone says.
"I was listening to a few energetic, grandiose acts at the time and felt this need to chase that sound, but to the detriment of my own music. It took some soul searching, but I resolved to tone everything down and play to my own strengths."
