Rockin’, real and impossible to resist Dave Orr may be one of the country’s most experience players, with his best yet to come.
Dave's newest track is 'Got To Know', another taste of his new album (due later this year) and follows first single ‘Champagne’ that was released late 2016. “Lyrically, ‘Got To Know’ is a short, urgent snapshot into the car ride of man in the throws of heartbreak and jealousy,” Dave says.
“After hearing secondhand about what his lady has been up to behind his back, he needs to find her himself, to seek the truth face to face.
“This stompin’ slide track was whole lot of fun to record, I remember we had a dialled Fender Tonemaster firing down a staircase, and it was loud! Our engineers neighbours knew about that's for sure. It was just perfect."
The new tunes that feature on Dave's forthcoming album have been recorded with a stellar line-up of players including Mark Henman on drums (Afro Dizzi Act, Bernard Fanning, Numbers Radio), Chris Pearson on bass (Washington, Jimmy Barnes) and local Hammond organ whiz Lachy Doley.
