The pairing of accomplished Sydney singer-songwriters Rudy Bilani and Seryna Jane, Darling is a new acoustic, indie-folk duo in a similar mould to the stylings of Passenger and Angus & Julia Stone.
Darling's first single 'Until It Hurts' is a love song told from two wildly different perspectives. Rudy first started writing the track on New Year's Day this year, fresh off his own heartbreak. "I had just been dumped," he says.
"It was both the worst and, strangely, best feeling in the world. The worst, of course, because I was experiencing real heartache for the first time, and the best because I was able to tap into emotions as an artist that I'd never felt before."
"'Until It Hurts' is a song about two different perspectives of the same relationship," adds Seryna.
"One person is in it thinking it's deep and serious. The other person is in it thinking it's just a fun fling."
