After a year-long hiatus from releasing music, WA-bred now Melbourne-based producer Camikaze is back with melancholic anthem 'Rush', available everywhere tomorrow (13 July).
The first track that features his own vocals, 'Rush' is an emotive ride brimming with scattered and washed-out beats that are married to Camikaze's mellow voice with the occasional stabby synth-line adding texture to this headphone banger.
Ahead of its release, scenestr is happy to premiere the song ready to stream below.
Camikaze's debut EP, 'Thousands', proved to be an online hit amassing more than two million streams across all platforms.
'Rush' is just a taste of what is to come and with more new music and shows on the horizon, Camikaze is certainly one to keep an eye on.
"I daydream often and a lot of my ideas come from cold places rather than warmer ones to be honest," Camikaze says, "but I try to make them feel comfortable and nostalgic rather than dark and ominous. I definitely think songwriting is therapeutic."
