Emerging Gold Coast teenager Amy Elise is ready to unveil her debut EP, 'Growing Pains', a seven-track release that showcases Amy's development as a songwriter the past two years.
The 16 year old first started penning songs in 2018, honing her skills with tracks that capture 'angsty teenage stories'.After receiving an offer to travel to Nashville, Amy headed Stateside early 2019 where her development continued, exploring acoustic alt. country and alternative rock sounds with plenty of drums and electric guitars.
In the studio, Amy has fostered a creative partnership with fellow Gold Coast musician Benny D Williams. "Recording was primarily with Benny D Williams and the recording process with Benny is always great," Amy says.
"I feel very confident with what Benny and I achieve together, and that he can produce how I want the songs to sound."
With 'Growing Pains' released tomorrow (23 October), scenestr is stoked to premiere Amy's debut EP today. Enjoy.
"I'm so excited to have my debut EP out after a big year of releases. I'm very proud of these songs and can't wait to share with everyone!" beams Amy.
"The 'Growing Pains' EP wasn't something I had forward planned; it is just bringing together a range of the songs I have written and released, and others I have been holding on to, and I was ready to put out a complete body of work that represented that stage of my songwriting journey.
"All of the songs have a fairly similar feel in an alt-rock genre, and it feels time to put those out together and make way for what is yet to come."
