Sydney-based folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ally Palmer will release her debut EP ‘Runaway With Me’ tomorrow. But today, Ally shares the release with scenestr to premiere.
Ally began her music career as a keyboardist playing in soul/ blues/ jazz bands around Byron Bay.
Now living and performing in Sydney, Ally’s brand of coastal-folk music could be compared to artists like Jack Johnston and Angus and Julia Stone.
"I am really looking forward to releasing my debut EP," Ally says. "I have really enjoyed the experience of creating my own music and I can't wait to share it with everyone. A few years ago I would have never thought I would have my own EP, so I am so excited that it is now happening and it is ready to be released.
"I loved the process of making this EP. I mostly wanted to hang out with my friends, surf and play music. But to have this EP come from that time my band and I spent together is amazing."
Ally and the full band will celebrate the release with a show at The Annandale Hotel (Sydney) on 16 December.
